Otto J. Placik, MD, FACS

Otto Placik, M.D. has performed over 5,000 non-invasive liquid facelift procedures, using advanced injection techniques, with advanced dermal fillers such as Restylane^®, Juvederm^®, Perlane^®, and Radiesse^® as well as BOTOX^®. He has private practices in both Chicago and Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Dr. Placik's research work includes studies on Restylane^®, Radiesse^® and Phase III studies on Reloxin^®. He is a frequent speaker and lecturer nationally to physicians on all aspects of plastic surgery. Dr. Placik holds an academic appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery (Plastic) at Northwestern University Medical School. He has had numerous teaching appointments, including Consultant Staff in Plastic Surgery for the Shriner’s Hospital in Chicago. He actively participates in the reconstruction of complex pediatric deformities at the Shriner’s Hospital in Chicago.

Widely published in peer-reviewed medical journals, Dr. Placik is a contributing author to “Be Your Best, Guide to America's Top Surgeons, Consumer Guide”. He is frequently sought after by media for his expert opinion, and has been featured in a variety of local and national print, electronic, radio and television media venues such as CBS News, WSCN, Chicago Health Image Talk Radio, COSMOPOLITAN, ALLURE, GLAMOUR, OXYGEN, and SELF. He has also been recognized in "Guide to America's Top Plastic Surgeons", "Guide to America's Top Surgeons" and the "Consumers' Guide to Top Doctors".

Now certified as a diplomate by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Placik started out by receiving his medical degree from Northwestern University. Here he also completed his residencies in General and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, graduating with honors (Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society) indicating excellence in medical knowledge and clinical skills. He completed a fellowship in the aesthetic reconstruction of complex nasal and facial deformities at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago and an additional fellowship in microvascular and hand surgery at Davies Medical Center, an affiliate of the University of California, San Francisco.

In addition to providing facial rejuvenation with liquid face lift procedures at his two locations in Chicago, Dr. Placik performs aesthetic and cosmetic surgery, such as breast enlargement (augmentation) as well as liposuction, laser and endoscopic-assisted lift, tuck and implants of the face, ears, eyes, cheeks, chin, nose, neck, body, breast, abdomen (tummy), thighs and legs. Non surgical procedures include wrinkle correction with BOTOX^®, Dysport^®, and advanced dermal fillers, chemical peels, dermabrasion, scar revision, laser skin resurfacing, and G-spot augmentations.
