Dr. Berkowitz has been featured for his cosmetic medical expertise in the media, including CBS, ABC News, NBC, Lifetime Network, Good Morning America and FOX News. His honors include being voted as a "Top Ophthalmologist" and "Top Plastic Surgeon" in the Guide to America’s Top Doctors - Consumer Research Council of America. He instructs other medical practitioners on non-surgical advanced dermal filler injection techniques. Dr. Berkowitz has lectured locally and nationally in his field. He has published research medical papers on the subject of cosmetic medical procedures, and attends several conferences and workshops each year to learn about advances in technologies and techniques related to his practice.
As a Board Certified and Fellowship-trained Oculofacial surgeon, Dr. Berkowitz utilizes his specialized training and skills to enhance your facial cosmetic needs. His specialty is so unique that there are only a handful of surgeons in Michigan that have his specialized certification and expertise.
On the Dean’s List, Dr. Berkowitz graduated Cum Laude from City University of New York’s Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education. He completed his medical doctorate at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, and then went on to complete his residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Berkowitz completed his fellowship in Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Toronto in Canada. He is part of a small group of physicians that hold fellowship endorsements from both the American Society of Ophthalmic Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Berkowitz is Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
