In addition to traditional facelift and blepharoplasty procedures, Kimberly Cockerham, M.D., F.A.C.S., offers non-surgical face lift and blepharoplasty alternatives with liquid facelift procedures. Dr. Cockerham has performed more than 7,000 non-surgical facial contouring procedures using advanced injection techniques with liquid face lift products such as Radiesse®, Restylane®, Perlane®, Juvederm®, and Voluma®, as well as BOTOX® and Dysport®. Dr. Cockerham practices in Stockton, Santa Cruz, San Ramon, Manteca and Lodi, in the Central Valley, Silicon Valley, and the Bay Area, CA.
Dr. Cockerham graduated Cum Laude from the University of California San Diego. She earned her medical degree from the George Washington University Medical School, where she graduated in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. At the Letterman Army Medical Center, Dr. Cockerham completed her internship in general surgery, and then went on to a residency in ophthalmology at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. She served as an officer and physician in the United States Army where she received 6 honors including the National Service Ribbon and the Meritorious Service Medal during her 15 years of service.
Not only having been honored by Castle Connelly as one of “America’s Top Doctors For Cancer”, Who’s Who in Medicine and Who’s Who in American Women on a yearly basis since 2005, Dr. Cockerham was also recently named as one of “America’s Best Doctors” by her peers in the American College of Surgeons and American Medical Association. She is recognized as one of "America's Top Ophthalmologists", and has been voted Best of the Best by San Jose Magazine for laser eyelid rejuvenation, and selected Best of the Bay by KRON TV. Dr. Cockerham has been honored by San Jose Business Journal’s Who’s Who in Silicon Valley, and has been named the Business of the Year by the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce. At UCSF, Dr. Cockerham received the Star Award twice and was awarded the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Achievement Award as well.
Dr. Cockerham has presented nationally and internationally, as well as publishing over 100 scientific research papers, chapters and a book. In addition to her private practice, she acts as co-director of the annual Bay Area Ophthalmology course at Stanford University where she coordinates the Oculofacial Plastics section. Dr. Cockerham holds a patent with respect to implantable electrochemical facial devices used to modulate muscle activity for treatment of congenital, post-traumatic, or post-surgical disorders. Her research in this field is funded by the Department of Defense.
In addition to performing non-surgical liquid face lift procedures with products such as BOTOX® for facial rejuvenation and wrinkle correction in Stockton, Dr. Cockerham provides IPL Photofacial and the newest in CO2 fractionated laser (pigment FX, ActiveFX, MaxFX and incisional FX), as well as other less invasive facial resurfacing treatments. Additional procedures include Latisse® eyelash enhancement, advanced chemical peels, removal of lumps, bumps or cancers, and treatment for hyperpigmentation and redness. Surgical procedures include blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), ptosis (eyelid drooping) repair, brow lifts and midfacial lifts. Dr. Cockerham also provides treatment options for numerous eye diseases and conditions such as thyroid eye disease, unusual or unexplained swelling of the eyelid tissues and pain.
