Susan M. Hughes, MD, FACS

In addition to traditional facelift and blepharoplasty procedures, Susan M. Hughes, MD, FACS offers non-surgical face lift and blepharoplasty alternatives with liquid facelift procedures. Dr. Hughes has performed nearly 12,000 non-surgical facial contouring procedures using advanced injection techniques with liquid face lift products such as Restylane^®, Radiesse^®, JUVÉDERM^® and Sculptra^®, as well as BOTOX^®. She is recognized by Allergan as a Gold BOTOX^® and JUVÉDERM^® Provider, signifying extensive experience.   As a member of the Allergan National Education Faculty, Dr. Hughes instructs other physicians on advanced dermal filler injection techniques for facial rejuvenation, and she participated in the clinical trials for FDA approval of JUVÉDERM^®. Dr. Hughes practices around the Philadelphia area, in Center City, Bala Cynwyd, and Glen Mills, PA, as well as Cherry Hill, NJ.

For the past 24 years, Dr. Hughes has taught in the Oculoplastic Department at Wills Eye Hospital.  Not only does Dr. Hughes lecture in the Philadelphia area, but also nationally and internationally as well. She is a graduate of George Washington University School of Medicine and completed her Ophthalmology residency at Albany Medical Center. Dr. Hughes then completed her Oculoplastic Fellowships-Eye and Ear at Harvard, Massachusetts and Moorfields Eye, London, England.

Dr. Hughes is Board certified in both Facial Cosmetic Surgery and Ophthalmology. She is on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Dr. Hughes volunteers with Project Orbis, and has operated and lectured in third world countries. Her peers selected her as a Philadelphia Top Doc in Philadelphia Magazine’s annual survey, and she is also recognized as a "Top Doc" by SJ Magzine.

In addition to providing liquid face lift procedures in Cherry Hill, the Hughes Center for Aesthetic Medicine offers a full menu of cosmetic medical procedures, including endoscopic brow, cheek and lower facelifts, mini-incision facelifts, and laser blepharoplasty.
