Dr. Yates earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, an honor given to select leader-students performing at the top of their graduating class. He completed his surgery and plastic surgery residency at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN. Dr. Yates is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
