Lisa M. Donofrio, MD has performed tens of thousands of non-surgical facial contouring procedures using advanced injection techniques with liquid face lift products such as Restylane®, Juvederm®, Radiesse®;, Perlane® and Sculptra®, as well as BOTOX® and Dysport®. She trains other medical practitioners in advanced injection techniques, and is recognized by Allergan as a Platinum Plus BOTOX®/Juvederm® Provider, signifying extensive experience. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Donofrio is an Associate Clinical Professor, Department of Dermatology, at Yale University School of Medicine and Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Dermatology, Tulane University School of Medicine. She is also the attending physician at both Yale-New Haven Hospital and Hospital of St. Raphael, both in New Haven, CT. Dr. Donofrio serves on the Editorial Board and is the Assistant Editor of The Journal of Dermatologic Surgery. She is also on the Board of Directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and is a Liposuction Council Appointee for the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Donofrio has been recognized as “Best Physician for Injectables” by the New York Times Magazine.
Dr. Donofrio has lectured on fat transfer and liposuction at the annual meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Annual International Symposium on Aging Skin, the American Society of Liposuction Surgery World Congress and is an invited speaker at many international surgery meetings. Her clinical studies have been published in peer-reviewed medical articles and book chapters. Dr. Donofrio was involved in the clinical trials for Latisse®, a prescription treatment for eyelash enhancement.
Dr. Donofrio graduated Summa Cum Laude from Quinnipiac University, and received her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, where she completed her residency in Dermatology. Dr. Donofrio trained with renowned instructors in the fields of Dermatologic and Cosmetic Surgery, and was the recipient of the Peterkin Award for excellence in research. She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
