Dr. Rousso is internationally known for his contributions to the field of facial plastic surgery, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on facial plastic surgery. He has been the director of multiple courses designed to teach other physicians the artistry and techniques of these procedures. Dr. Rousso has been selected as a Best Doctor by peer physicians, a designation of less than 5% of physicians in the U.S.
In addition to his private practice in Birmingham, Dr. Rousso serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Rousso is the President of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS). He has served on the Board of Directors of the AAFPRS, the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, and as the President of the International Society of Hair Replacement Surgery. He is the Director of a Fellowship Program under the auspices of the AAFPRS, training young physicians
Daniel E. Rousso, MD, FACS received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society (an honor given to select leader-students performing at the top of their graduating class). He served his internship at the Medical University of South Carolina and his residency at Emory University, Atlanta, GA, and completed his facial plastic surgery fellowship at McCollough Facial Surgery Clinic, Birmingham, AL. Dr. Rousso is Board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery
In addition to providing wrinkle correction and non-surgical liquid face lift procedures with advanced dermal fillers and BOTOX®, Dr. Rousso and his staff specialize in facial plastic surgery and hair replacement surgery. Procedures include facelift, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty (nose refinement), chin augmentation and hair restoration.
