Carey Nease, M.D. graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine and then completed 5 years of training at the University of Oklahoma in the renowned head, neck and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery training program. Dr. Nease is a fellowship-trained triple board certified Cosmetic and Facial Plastic Surgeon. He is board certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.
Chad Deal, M.D. graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). He received his medical degree from UAB School of Medicine, Birmingham, AL. During his residency in general surgery, he served as Chief Resident with Baptist Health Systems in Birmingham. Dr. Deal completed a cosmetic surgery fellowship program in Las Vegas under a world-renowned and quadruple board certified Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon. He is fellowship-trained double board certified by the American Board of General Surgery, and board eligible for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.
Drs. Nease and Deal specialize in artistic cosmetic surgery at Southern Surgical Arts, with two state-of the art locations in Calhoun and Chattanooga, TN. Dr. Nease’s research has been published in several surgical journals, and he has given numerous lectures and presentations to his peers across the country. Dr. Nease shares his expertise in cosmetic surgery and laser-assisted surgery by training other surgeons from across the nation in the latest cosmetic surgery techniques. In 2011, Drs. Nease and Deal hosted and lectured at the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) sponsored Live Surgery Workshop, covering the latest techniques in facial rejuvenation, facelifts and laser technology. The doctors were invited speakers at the AACS 2011 Fall Symposium.
Dr. Nease instructs other medical practitioners on advanced dermal filler injection techniques for facial rejuvenation. Dr. Nease has been voted as Best Cosmetic Surgeon and Dr. Deal as a finalist by the “Best of the Best Awards in Chattanooga” by the Chattanooga Times Free Press Readers, while Southern Surgical Arts is recognized as a 'Best Cosmetic Surgery Center' for North Georgia by The Daily Citizens Reader’s Choice Awards. In 2009, Dr. Nease was chosen by peers in the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery to publish research in the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery.
